VNTANA Search Products
Find the product in your VNTANA workspace without hunting through the dashboard
- credentials
- product_uuids
- product_names
- count
The VNTANA nodes work in terms of product UUIDs, not friendly names. The Download and Upload nodes all ask "which product?", and the answer is a long hyphenated string you don't want to type by hand. VNTANASearchProducts is the node that finds those UUIDs for you - it's the index of everything in your workspace, and it's the usual starting point for any workflow that isn't hardcoding one product.
What it does
It queries the VNTANA product search API for a workspace and returns two parallel lists: product_uuids and product_names, plus a count of total matches. Because the lists line up by position, you can read them side by side like a mini spreadsheet - index 0 of product_uuids is the same product as index 0 of product_names.
The API call itself is a POST to the products search endpoint sorted by most-recently-updated, which is genuinely handy: leave search_term empty and you get a "browse everything, newest first" view of your whole workspace.
Inputs worth setting
- credentials - required, straight from VNTANACredentials.
- search_term - optional. Empty means "everything." If you know part of the product name, type it and the server filters.
- status - a dropdown with
ALL,DRAFT,LIVE_PUBLIC,LIVE_INTERNAL,APPROVED. Default isALL. If you're hunting a live product,LIVE_PUBLICis a much tighter net. - limit - INT, default 10, min 1, max 100. Cap it low while you're experimenting; this node isn't expensive but you don't need 100 rows to find one product.
- workspace_uuid - optional override. Leave empty to use the
default_workspace_uuidyou set on the Credentials node.
Wiring the output
The practical step most people fumble: product_uuids is a list, and the Download nodes want a single string. You've got two easy paths. Either grab element 0 with any list-indexing helper node, or - honestly the fastest for one-off work - just run the workflow, read the UUID that shows up in the node's widget, and type it straight into the Download node. Once you know a product's UUID you can skip search entirely and hardcode it.
Getting it installed
Same pack as the rest: clone into ComfyUI/custom_nodes and install, or use ComfyUI Manager and search "vntana-comfyui-node":
cd ComfyUI/custom_nodes
git clone https://github.com/VNTANA-3D/vntana-comfyui-node
cd vntana-comfyui-node
pip install -e .
Restart ComfyUI after. No models, no heavy deps - just requests and Pillow.
Troubleshooting
- "No workspace UUID provided" - the most common failure here. Set
default_workspace_uuidon Credentials or passworkspace_uuidinto this node. - Empty results that shouldn't be - check the
statusfilter. A product stuck inDRAFTwon't show up when you filterLIVE_PUBLIC. - Wrong product - remember it's sorted newest-first, not alphabetically. That's usually the real reason the "first" result isn't what you expected.
This is a genuinely thin node - search, list, count - but it's the one that turns the whole pack from "demo with one hardcoded UUID" into something that can actually walk your catalog.
