VNTANA Credentials
Every VNTANA workflow starts here — get this node right first
- credentials
If you're here, you're probably not the usual ComfyUI crowd. This pack is a bridge from ComfyUI to VNTANA, a 3D content-management platform where brands and agencies keep product models, renders, and catalogs - think e-commerce 3D, configurators, AR. And like any bridge, it has exactly one front door: the VNTANACredentials node. Every other node in the pack takes its credentials output as a required input, so get this one working before you touch anything else.
What it does
It holds your VNTANA account info and hands a VNTANA_CREDENTIALS object to the rest of the pack. But it's not a dumb pass-through - the moment your workflow runs, this node actually authenticates against the VNTANA API and verifies your credentials by listing your workspaces. If auth fails, the whole workflow errors right here, which is exactly what you want: fail at the front door, not at step seven.
The mechanism under the hood is a two-step token dance. First it logs in with email/password to grab a token, then it swaps that for an organization-scoped token using your organization_uuid, and finally caches the result for 5 minutes keyed on email + org. So rapid re-runs don't spam the login endpoint - a small thing, but this pack is unusually careful about that sort of thing (rate limiting at 60 req/min, sanitized error messages, the password wrapped so it never shows up in logs or reprs).
The inputs that matter
Three required, two optional:
- email and password - your VNTANA account credentials.
- organization_uuid - from the platform dashboard under Organization Settings. This is the one beginners paste wrong.
- default_workspace_uuid - optional, but set it. Almost every other node needs a workspace, and if you leave this empty they'll fail with "No workspace UUID provided" unless you remember to pass
workspace_uuidinto each one. Set it once here and forget about it. - base_url - defaults to
https://api-platform.vntana.com. Here's a gotcha the README doesn't mention: the node only acceptsapi-platform.vntana.comandapi.vntana.com. Point it at a custom dev URL and it's rejected outright, so don't fight that - it's deliberate credential-theft protection.
The single output is credentials, which you wire into SearchProducts, the Download/Upload nodes, and all three List nodes.
Installing the pack
This pack has zero model downloads and no GPU work - it's a thin REST client (just requests and Pillow, plus numpy that ComfyUI already ships). Either clone it:
cd ComfyUI/custom_nodes
git clone https://github.com/VNTANA-3D/vntana-comfyui-node
cd vntana-comfyui-node
pip install -e .
...then restart ComfyUI. Or, since it ships registry metadata, install it from ComfyUI Manager by searching "vntana-comfyui-node".
Troubleshooting
- "Authentication failed" - wrong email/password, or the org UUID doesn't match the account. Double-check Organization Settings on platform.vntana.com.
- "No workspace UUID provided" - you skipped
default_workspace_uuidand a downstream node needs a workspace. Set the default here, or pass aworkspace_uuidinto that node. - Token feels stale - tokens live 5 minutes. If you fixed a bad password and it still fails, that's usually a different error surfacing, not caching.
One honest note: this is a brand-new pack (one commit, no community chatter yet, zero comfy.icu impressions at the time of writing). It's clearly vendor-shipped enterprise integration. Read it like you'd read any custom node that holds a password: the source is short, the security hygiene is actually good, and that's the right level of paranoia for a node that phones home with your credentials every run.
