cxSliderBank - Int
Eight sliders in one node, each with its own wire
- OUT_1
- OUT_2
- OUT_3
- OUT_4
- OUT_5
- OUT_6
- OUT_7
- OUT_8
The problem with individual slider nodes is that they don't scale. Want to tune five values that belong together - five LoRA weights, five scheduler slots, five prompts' worth of something-or-other - and your canvas is suddenly five separate nodes to name, align, and drag in order. cxSliderBankInt from the comfyui-cx_sliders pack stacks up to eight integer sliders in one node, each with its own output wire, so a batch of related values stays visually and logically together.
It's the node that turns "a wall of five sliders" into "one tidy rack of five."
How it works
Underneath, this is the one node in the pack with genuinely odd plumbing, and it's worth knowing about before it confuses you. The only input is values, and it's a STRING containing JSON:
{"s1":0,"s2":0,"s3":0,"s4":0,"s5":0,"s6":0,"s7":0,"s8":0}
You never type that. The custom UI serializes the sliders' state into that JSON automatically and sends it to Python, which parses it and returns one integer per row as OUT_1 through OUT_8 (all INT). If that sounds like a hack, it is - but it's an intentional one, because it lets the node change its row count dynamically without fighting ComfyUI's schema.
The controls that matter live in the Properties panel:
- sliderCount - how many rows show, 1 to 8. Fewer rows, fewer outputs in use.
- min / max / step / snap - shared bounds for the whole bank, same behavior as the single sliders (Shift+drag inverts snap, Ctrl+drag escapes the range).
- labels - comma-separated row names so you can tell row 3 apart from row 5.
Two gotchas to file away. First, unused rows still emit 0 - the node always returns all eight outputs, so an untouched row quietly feeds a zero into whatever it's wired to. Wire only what you use. Second, the pack auto-migrates old workflows that used eight separate slider_N inputs, so a legacy graph loads fine; you just might see the JSON input for the first time.
Install
Same pack as the rest of the cx nodes:
cd ComfyUI/custom_nodes
git clone https://github.com/VirusShell/comfyui-cx_sliders.git comfyui_cxslider
Restart ComfyUI, or install via ComfyUI Manager (cx Sliders). Pure frontend - no models, no dependencies, ComfyUI 0.3.75+.
Troubleshooting
- You see raw JSON in a text box - the custom widget didn't load (stale browser cache or old ComfyUI). Hard-refresh after updating; it should be a row of sliders, not a string.
- A zero appears downstream where you expected nothing - unused bank rows output 0. Cut the wire or drop
sliderCountto hide the row. - Rows jump in coarse steps - shared
step/snapfrom the Properties panel; Shift-drag for fine control.
