The analog-photo crowd has been typing "Kodak Portra" into prompts for years without really knowing what they're asking for. FilmsImage_Zho is the film-stock gallery in Zho's ArtGallery pack: 83 stocks - Cinestill 50D, Agfa Vista 400, Adox CMS 20 II, and friends - each with a reference image generated in SDXL, so you can see the grain, the color, the whole vibe before you spend a generation on it.

Why you'd reach for it

Film stock tokens are how you buy a photographic look without a camera: warm nostalgic tones, cinematic halation, heavy grain. The catch is that the difference between two stocks is often subtle and completely unpredictable from the name alone. "Adox Silvermax 100" and "Agfa Scala 200x" both sound like black-and-white film - the previews tell you what that actually means for your image. This node is the most "photographer" of the pack's five galleries, and it's a genuinely nice way to shop a mood.

How it works

Same as its siblings. The dropdown lists 83 film stocks from Rikkar's SDXL 1.0 Artistic Studies - the tested prompt collection that feeds the whole pack - and selecting one loads the bundled reference PNG as the node's preview. Inputs:

• image - the film-stock dropdown (83 choices).
• weight - 0 to 1.75, step 0.05, default 1.2.

Outputs:

• name - the stock as a weighted token (e.g. (Cinestill 50D:1.2)) for your positive prompt.
• image - the preview as an IMAGE output, which you could also route to an IP-Adapter if you want the look as a visual reference rather than a text token.

That's the whole node. Set the dropdown, set the weight, wire name into your prompt.

Getting it right

Film stocks are strong style tokens, so default 1.2 is sensible; push toward 1.4 and the stock's personality (grain, halation, color cast) will really take over. They stack beautifully with the pack's camera node - "shot on a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV" plus a film stock gets you a coherent photo look in two tokens. If you're after subtle, keep it at or under 1.2; above 1.5, a "film" token can start to feel like a filter instead of a photograph.

Install and troubleshooting

Install via ComfyUI Manager (search "ComfyUI-ArtGallery") or:

Restart ComfyUI. No pip installs, no model downloads, no keys - Python plus bundled images, fully offline. Previews not showing after the first restart? Restart again; that's the author's documented fix. Also worth flagging: this is early-2024 code with little maintenance since, and there's one old r/comfyui report of the pack (with other ZHO plugins) breaking image loading in a setup - resolved by removing the pack and reinstalling cleanly. Not a widespread bug, but a known one.

The SDXL caveat

All previews were rendered with SDXL 1.0, so that's your calibration. On SD 1.5 the same stock will read differently, and the whole film-stock vocabulary assumes the model was trained on it. If you're on SDXL, this is the closest thing to test-printing a roll before you shoot.
