    This is the flagship node of the WildPromptor pack - every keyword category the pack ships, crammed into a single node. Subject, Environment, Virtual (camera/lighting/effects), Styles, and a big Illustrious set (art styles and characters) all become dropdowns on one enormous node. Pick from any of them, hit Random on the ones you want to gamble on, and it builds a complete prompt in one shot. No wiring five separate list nodes together.

    The pack is by 1038lab, who also maintains the popular ComfyUI-RMBG masking suite, so the "one node does everything" instinct here is on brand - their background-removal pack similarly bundles a dozen models behind one interface.

    How it works

    Under the hood it's the same folder-reader mechanism as the individual list nodes, just pointed at all of them at once. Each .txt file across the pack's data folders becomes a labeled dropdown - prefixed by its group, so you'll see Subject - Female, Environment - Outdoor, Virtual - Cameras, Illustrious - Char, and so on.

    Every dropdown leads with three controls:

    • ❌disabled - skip this category (the default for all of them)
    • 🎲Random - pick a random line, reproducible via the seed
    • 🔢ordered - step through the list across a batch

    Whatever's enabled gets resolved and concatenated into one prompt string.

    Inputs and outputs that matter

    The dropdowns are the interface. The three real knobs:

    • batch_size - number of prompts to generate in one run
    • seed - locks the random rolls so a good combination is repeatable
    • allow_duplicates - defaults to true here (unlike the single list nodes), so a batch can repeat picks

    Output is prompt, a STRING list. Wire it into a CLIP Text Encode, or into Prompt Concat if you want to add your own prefix/suffix around it.

    The honest verdict

    This is the node the pack is really selling, and it's polarizing. On one hand, a curated dropdown for hundreds of camera bodies, film stocks, poses and settings is genuinely convenient if you're brainstorming and don't want to memorize wildcard filenames. On the other, some dropdowns are absurd - the Illustrious character list has nearly 4,000 entries and the art-style list over 700. You are not scrolling those. The community reaction to fat all-in-one nodes is lukewarm for exactly this reason; a common sentiment is "I just want a randomizer for my own custom tag pools," not a thousand-entry menu someone else curated.

    So the smart way to use it: enable the two or three categories you actually care about, set them to 🎲Random with a seed, and treat the rest as off. It's a variety engine, not a prompt you assemble by hand. And mind the model you're feeding - the Illustrious set assumes SDXL-style booru tags, which do nothing on an LLM-encoded model like Flux 2 or Z-Image.

    Installing it

    ComfyUI Manager: search ComfyUI-WildPromptor, install, restart. Or:

    Common issues

    • The node is huge and slow to configure - that's the design, not a bug. Disable everything you don't need; a category set to ❌disabled contributes nothing.
    • Custom categories missing or out of order - the node reads the data folders at startup, and added lists don't always render in the order you saved them. Restart after adding files, and don't depend on line order outside 🔢ordered mode.
    • Random keeps giving me duplicates in a batch - allow_duplicates defaults to true on this node. Turn it off if you want distinct picks per batch item.
    • Can't see what got picked - feed the output through the Show Prompt node.
