Collections (WildPromptor) — pick whole pre-written prompts

Every other list node in this pack hands you keywords to assemble. Collections is different - its dropdowns hold complete, pre-written prompts. Full scene descriptions and story-style prompts, ready to fire as-is. It's the pack's "Custom" concept: not building blocks, but finished examples you can drop in and generate from, or use as a starting point and edit.
Collections is part of WildPromptor by 1038lab, the author of the ComfyUI-RMBG masking pack.
How it works
Same folder-reader machinery as the other list nodes, but the .txt files contain whole prompts, one per line, grouped by category: Realistic, Realistic_female, Realistic_male, Fantasy, Anime, Pony, and a general Prompt bucket. Each becomes a dropdown, each opening with:
- ❌disabled - skip it
- 🎲Random - pull a random complete prompt (seed-reproducible)
- 🔢ordered - cycle through them across a batch
Pick or randomize, and the node outputs the selected prompt.
Inputs and outputs
The category dropdowns are the interface; the other controls are batch_size, seed, and allow_duplicates. Output is prompt, a STRING list. Because each entry is already a full prompt, you can wire this straight into a CLIP Text Encode without needing Prompt Concat - though you can still run it through Prompt Builder to bolt on a fixed prefix/suffix.
The honest take: these are dated
Read the actual entries before you trust them. The bundled prompts are period pieces - masterpiece, best quality, ultra high res, (photorealistic:1.4), score_9, score_8_up, embedded LoRA tags, forty-word negatives baked in. That's SD 1.5 / SDXL / Pony vocabulary from a couple of years back. On those models it still works. On a 2026 LLM-encoded model (Z-Image, Flux 2, Anima) most of it is inert: the (word:1.3) weights are discarded, masterpiece, best quality was never trained in, and the quality-tag spam just eats attention.
So treat Collections as a museum of example prompts, not a recommended prompt library. It's genuinely useful for one thing: seeing how a complete prompt is structured for a given style, then rewriting it for your actual model. Grab the shape, drop the cargo.
Installing it
ComfyUI Manager: search ComfyUI-WildPromptor, install, restart. Or:
cd ComfyUI/custom_nodes

then restart. Under 🧪AILab/🧿WildPromptor. No downloads.
Common issues
- The built-in prompts give weak results on my model - they're written for SDXL-lineage checkpoints. Strip the quality-tag and weight syntax for LLM-encoded models.
- I want my own collection - add a
.txtfile of full prompts to thedatafolder (or use the Custom List Manager node) and restart to have it appear as a new dropdown. - Custom entries out of order - added lists don't always render in saved order; use 🔢ordered mode if sequence matters.
- Can't see which prompt Random chose - chain the Show Prompt node after it.
