Staring at a blank outfit field is worse than staring at a blank page - at least with prose you can start rambling. VNCCS Clothes Templates is one of the pencil-icon tag builders the README mentions in passing: instead of typing a clothing description from nothing, you pick an aesthetic from a list and it hands you a ready-made prompt fragment to drop into your outfit design in VNCCS Clothes Designer.

    What it does

Pick a style from the dropdown - the list is genuinely huge, 111 entries covering everything from decade-specific fashion (1920s, 1950s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s) to cultural and regional clothing (African clothes, Ainu clothes, Ancient Egyptian clothes, Ao Dai) to broader style categories. Set is_explicit, and the node outputs a text block you can feed straight into your clothing prompt. It's not generating an image - it's generating the words that describe an outfit, which is the actual hard part when you're not already fluent in fashion vocabulary or the specific tag conventions your generation model responds to.

    Inputs and outputs

    • aesthetic (enum, 111 choices, default the "ALL"/no-filter option) - the style category. Browse it rather than guessing what's in there; it covers a genuinely wide net of eras, cultures and subcultures.
    • is_explicit (BOOLEAN, default true) - whether the generated description leans into explicit/adult framing or stays general-audience. This is a content lever, not a quality one - flip it based on what you're actually building, not because you assume one setting produces "better" results.
    • Output: content (STRING) - the resulting text, ready to paste or wire into a prompt field elsewhere in your outfit-design workflow.

    Installing it

Ships with the base pack. ComfyUI Manager: search "VNCCS - Visual Novel Character Creation Suite", install latest, restart. Manual: cd ComfyUI/custom_nodes && git clone https://github.com/AHEKOT/ComfyUI_VNCCS.git, restart. No model downloads needed - this is a text-template node, it doesn't touch Control Center or generation at all.

    Common issues & troubleshooting

The generated description feels generic or doesn't match what you pictured. Treat this as a starting draft, not a finished prompt - the templates are broad by design, since they have to cover 111 different aesthetics with one node. Take the output and hand-edit specific details (colour, accessories, fit) once you've got the base description in place, the same way you'd edit auto-generated tags anywhere else in VNCCS.

You're not sure which aesthetic entry matches what you're after. With 111 choices and names that assume some familiarity with fashion history, it's worth scrolling the whole list once before your first real project rather than guessing from a couple of obvious-sounding entries - several near-neighbours (adjacent decades, related regional styles) will read very differently once generated.

is_explicit output isn't what you expected. It's a binary switch on tone/framing, not a strength slider - if the result still isn't matching what you want, edit the content output directly rather than looking for a middle-ground setting that doesn't exist on this node.
