🧰 Ray's Model Tools: Load Model As

Select a registered diffusion model or checkpoint from the searchable folder dropdown. Inference models are initialized automatically when MODEL, CLIP or VAE outputs are used; data-only workflows avoid that extra load. FP8→FP16 cannot restore lost precision.

Inputs (6)

Name	Type	Default	Description
model_name	STRING		Choose a registered checkpoint or diffusion model. The folder dropdown searches full paths in every subfolder.
weight_format	COMBO	auto	Storage precision or quantization for the result. Auto/Preserve keeps the source representation where supported. Converting to higher precision cannot recover information already lost.
loader	COMBO	auto	Choose automatic architecture detection, a complete checkpoint loader, or a diffusion-only loader. Used when an inference output needs the result.
load_components	BOOLEAN	true	Include available text encoders and VAE when loading a checkpoint for inference. Diffusion-only files do not contain those components.
pathopt	STRING		Existing source file or supported sharded model folder on the ComfyUI server. A connected live model or model-data handle takes precedence where available.
model_dataopt	RAY_MODEL_DATA		File or in-memory model result from another Model Tools node. Supports data-only processing without initializing inference components.

metadata	RAY_MODEL_METADATA	Structured metadata for the source or result, including operation information where applicable.
report	STRING	Readable inspection or operation report, including compatibility, format, processing, and saved-result information relevant to this operation.
