Info Pixaroma
Your workflow's README, folded into a button
Info Pixaroma is three days old - it landed in v1.4.183 on 1 October 2026, which is why it has zero search impressions and no forum thread worth reading. So here's the honest version: it's the smallest node in the pack and the one I'd actually fight for, because it fixes the thing every ComfyUI beginner hits first.
Load a workflow someone shared. You get sixty nodes, colored wires, and no idea which switch does what. That's not an accident of that particular graph - ComfyUI's whole deal is a blank canvas with no documentation layer, and the community's workaround has always been "put text nodes on the canvas and hope". Note Pixaroma does that beautifully and takes up half your screen doing it. Info Pixaroma is the same note, collapsed to a button you click.
What it actually is
A button. That's the entire node: a title, an icon, a color, and a note hiding behind it. Click it and the note opens in a floating reading window. Nothing to wire, nothing to run.
This is where people think it's broken. The Python behind it is a stub:
RETURN_TYPES = ()
FUNCTION = "noop"
# OUTPUT_NODE intentionally not set
No outputs, not an output node, and the function returns an empty dict. ComfyUI skips it on Run entirely - so it never gets a timing badge and never appears in the queue. That's deliberate. It's a frontend node; all the real work is in js/info/.
The one field (that you never type into)
info_schema lists exactly one input: note_json, a multiline STRING. There are no outputs at all.
It's hidden. The button face is painted on top of it, and everything - the note's rich text, the title, the icon id, the color, the window size, the text scale - lives inside that one JSON blob, in the same shape Note Pixaroma uses plus an info block for the button itself. You never see it; the editor writes it. Two details in the source worth knowing: the widget is marked socketless on purpose, because the socket sat under the button's top-left corner where clicking to read the note dragged a wire out instead. And the 27 icons ship with the pack, so a workflow you send someone shows the same icon on their machine.
Using it
Right-click an empty spot on the canvas → Add Info Pixaroma (it's also in the canvas menu under Add Label). A popup offers starters: Read me, Models, Nodes, Settings, Prompt tips, Run times, Tips, Attention, Links, or Blank. Pick one and it fills the title, the icon, the color and the empty headings of that kind of note. A starter only writes into an empty note, so it can never wipe what you typed - you can also apply one later from right-click → Start from, which drops those headings in at the cursor.
Then:
- Click the button to read. It doesn't select the node, so ComfyUI's selection toolbar doesn't pop up over your note.
- Hover for half a second and a peek card shows the note's first heading and first line - how you tell apart three buttons that are all the same size and color.
- Drag the corner to resize. An empty button draws dashed; clicking it goes straight to the editor.
- With two or more buttons, the reading window grows a list on the left, subgraphs included, so you jump between them without hunting the canvas.
- A− / A+ and the window size are remembered per button and saved in the workflow - a short note opens small, your models list opens big.
Edit in the window (or right-click → Edit) opens the same rich editor as Note Pixaroma: headings, lists, icons, tables, code, and Download / YouTube / Discord buttons.
Install
Same as everything else in the pack. ComfyUI Manager → search Pixaroma → Install → restart. If you'd rather do it by hand:
cd ComfyUI/custom_nodes
git clone https://github.com/pixaroma/ComfyUI-Pixaroma
The README's own manual step points at the GitLab mirror; either works. And ComfyUI Easy Install already bundles this pack, so if that's your setup, just update.
Pack dependencies are imageio-ffmpeg (the ffmpeg binary the video nodes need) plus optional rembg for background removal. Info Pixaroma itself needs none of that - it's Python that does nothing and JavaScript that does everything.
Where people get burned
Update through Manager, then hard-refresh the browser tab with Ctrl+Shift+R (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac). This node is almost entirely client-side visuals, and your browser caches old node drawing - so you can update correctly and still be looking at the old button. That's the single most common "it's broken" report for this pack, and the author says so in the README.
Second, Nodes 2.0: the 2 October build fixed Ctrl+Z leaving Info buttons blank, and the 4 October build fixed Info losing its size on undo. If you're on the newer Vue frontend and your buttons go white or resize themselves, you're one update behind.
And a freebie: the note is a widget value, so it saves with the workflow - a workflow you share, or a PNG saved with the workflow embedded, carries your notes with it. For once, a good reason to write them.
