Character Prompt Builder - Male Fashion
From 'old money' to knight armor, without typing a word

The fashion_aesthetic dropdown here starts at "Superhero" and "Classic Gentleman," wanders through "Old Money" and "Dark Academia," and eventually lands on "Knight" and "Biker." That range is the whole pitch: Character Prompt Builder - Male Fashion dresses your male character by mood first, then by garment - and it's one of the few fashion nodes that treats men as more than "suit or no suit."
It's the second link in the male chain (Male Person → Male Fashion → Male Poses → Scene & Generate). It takes the Person node's settings via settings_in, adds wardrobe, and hands the dict on. No prompt text is generated here - that's Scene & Generate's job at the end of the chain.
The inputs that matter
- fashion_aesthetic - 46 styles, and it genuinely earns its place: Gentleman, Old Money, Businessman, Streetwear, Surfer, Rockstar, Metalhead, Punk, Grunge, Dark Academia… pick the vibe and the rest of your selections start to cohere.
- tops / pants - 27 tops (dress shirts, Henley, flannels, sweaters) and 19 pants (chinos, wool trousers, corduroy, cargo), each with color and material dropdowns.
- mens_suits - 44 options: two- and three-piece suits, tuxedo, double-breasted, pinstripe, linen, and the casual blazer-and-chinos end. The one-stop shop for "businessman" shots.
- capes / hats - the surprising depth: 37 capes and cloaks (medieval cloak, superhero cape, fur cape) and 28 hats (fedora, trilby, newsboy, snapback). This is where a character stops being corporate and starts being a character.
Optional block: mens_shoes (24: Oxford, Derby, brogues, loafers, combat boots…), gloves, belts, necklace/bracelet/ring/watches (dive, chronograph, pilot, field…), glasses, masks, and custom_clothing for anything the catalog misses. There's no separate male "underwear" section - the pack figures you can imply that yourself.
How it works
Identical mechanism to the female node: three-dropdown composition per garment (item + color + material), all merged into the PM_SETTINGS dict and written out as natural-language prose by the Scene node. If you're running a model with an LLM-based text encoder, that sentence output is the reason to use this pack at all - "wearing a navy wool three-piece suit with a pocket watch" lands far better than suit, navy, formal, watch on those checkpoints.
Installing
ComfyUI Manager → search Character Prompt Builder → Install → restart. Manual:

No dependencies to install and nothing to download - pure Python standard library. First-run may fetch the character_prompt.json option data from GitHub if the bundled copy is absent.
Troubleshooting
- Clothing ignored in the output - check the wiring: Male Fashion needs the Person node upstream and the Poses/Scene nodes downstream. Skip a link and its settings never arrive.
- Suit renders wrong cut -
mens_suitsandtopscan conflict (a "three-piece suit" plus a "polo shirt" confuses the model). For a coherent look, set the suit and leavetopsat "-". - Aesthetic not showing - the aesthetic is a phrase in the final prompt, not a magic tag; if your checkpoint doesn't know "old money," it'll guess. Add a
prompt_suffixin the Scene node with plain-English clarifying words if the vibe keeps missing.
