Krea 2 Outpaint v1.1

  • The padding now follows your picture. Pick a ratio or drag the orange handles, and the padding is worked out for whatever image you load. Before, it was saved in pixels for the sample, so another picture came out wrong.

  • Image Crop + Rotate + Pad replaces Load Image + Pad, which gives you the ratio buttons.

  • The prompt is written from the padded picture, so the caption knows what fills the new area.

  • The workflow is smaller: 13 nodes instead of 21, with the prompt and the painting in two boxes.

  • Needs AusBoss nodes 2.4.0 or newer. The models are the same.

⚠️Newer: Krea 2 Rotate + Outpaint ⚠️
does everything this one does, plus turning. Use that one.

Extend a picture on any side, and Krea 2 paints the new area. Your image goes back on top of the result. Only the new area and a thin strip along the old edge change.

How to use it

  1. Load your image.

  2. Pick a ratio, or drag the orange handles out. The small button next to the ratios flips portrait and landscape.

  3. Optional: describe the new area in What goes there.

  4. Press Run.

What you need

Tips

  • Keep each run's new area on one side to about half your picture's size, or pull both sides. Bigger one-sided pulls can paint a second copy of the scene. For more, run it again on the result.

  • Dark corners get extended. A vignette in your photo carries on into the new area. Crop the corners off first if you don't want that.

  • Keep Megapixels near 1.6. In my tests much bigger canvases came out with a darker, creased new area, and much smaller ones went blotchy.

  • Leave thinking on in the Write the prompt box. With it off, the caption can come back empty.

  • Leave Align at 1. A bigger Align adds pixels on the right and bottom, even on a side you didn't pad.

v1.1 fix (2026-09-30): dark and very colourful pictures no longer come back with a gray frame. The new area now starts from your picture's own colour, the seam blends over 32 px, and it opens with no ratio picked. v1.1 (2026-09-29): the padding follows your picture. v1.0 (2026-09-25): first release.
