WK Transparent Title
WK Transparent Title — the invisible node that labels your giant canvas
Zero inputs. Zero outputs. Zero math. This is a pure decoration node - it draws a text label on your ComfyUI canvas and nothing else. It's the "Transparent Title" that WorkspaceKit pairs with its WK Groups to keep large workflows readable: section headers floating over your graph that don't carry a single wire.
You'll want it when your workflow is big enough to get lost in. Fifty nodes, no borders, and you keep losing track of which region does what. WK Groups gives you colored frames; this node gives you text that sits on top of them - "Upscale pass", "Face fix", "Batch loop" - without consuming graph space and with zero risk of breaking the data flow. It lives in the canvas, not in the data.
How it works
The Python class behind the menu item is a stub: an execute() that returns nothing. All the real work happens in the pack's frontend code, which renders the text directly onto the canvas. Because it's a frontend node, there are no data inputs and no data outputs - it can't be wired into your pipeline, and nothing wires into it. That's the point. It's canvas chrome, like a group or a comment box, and it's saved with the workflow.
The default style, straight from the README: 24px text on a transparent background with a 15px corner radius (the radius is moot while the background stays transparent - it matters once you turn on a background). Double-click the title to edit the text, and use the node's property panel to adjust font size, text color, background opacity, border, alignment, letter spacing, and even a glow if you want your section headers to feel expensive.
The confusing class name
The node menu shows WK Transparent Title, but the class is still Workspace2Title - and that's deliberate. The pack migrated from a predecessor called Workspace2, and keeping the legacy class name means old saved workflows that reference it still load without breaking. If you see Workspace2Title in a workflow JSON, an error message, or a ComfyUI Manager "missing node" warning, it's this exact node. Don't go hunting for a second one.
Installing it
This node ships inside the ComfyUI-WorkspaceKit (WK) pack, which is a sidebar workspace manager first and a node pack second:
cd ComfyUI/custom_nodes
git clone https://github.com/ZiYao00/ComfyUI-WorkspaceKit.git
cd ComfyUI-WorkspaceKit
python -m pip install -r requirements.txt
Then restart ComfyUI. Or search WorkspaceKit in ComfyUI Manager. The only Python dependency is send2trash (for moving deleted workflows to your OS trash), and there are no model files to download.
The honest framing: you install this pack for the sidebar - Workflows, Nodes, Templates, Groups - and the transparent title is a side dish. If all you want is a floating label, native ComfyUI group titles exist but they're welded to group frames. This one is a standalone title you can drop anywhere, style, and leave alone, and there's not much else that does pure canvas annotation quite like it.
Troubleshooting
Because the rendering is frontend JavaScript, a fresh install sometimes needs a full ComfyUI restart - not just a page refresh - before the custom title rendering kicks in and the node draws anything at all. If you see a node with the right name but no visible styling, restart first.
The pack itself is public beta (0.2.x), the maintainer warns that updates and issue replies may be slow, and it performs real file operations on your workflow directory. Back up your workflows and user settings before running it in a primary environment - cheap insurance for a node whose whole job is visual organization.
