VRGDG Storyboard Creator with Browser AI — Open This

The display name on this one - "VRGDG Storyboard Creator with Browser AI - Open This" - is the whole manual. It's a launcher node, not a processing node. It has no inputs, no outputs, and does no math. You drop it on the canvas, click it, and it opens the pack's standalone storyboard creator UI, which is where the actual work happens.

So the real question is: why would you use this instead of just the storyboard UI node? Because this one is the entry point the author intends for a specific kind of storyboard - start-image storyboards generated with browser AI, the option that runs entirely inside your web browser rather than through a local model or an API key. For beginners it's also just the least intimidating on-ramp into the pack's planning tools: no project folder to invent, no session JSON to create, just a button that says open.

      What it opens into

The storyboard creator it launches is part of the VRGameDevGirl AI Video Builder family, the scene-by-scene production workspace for LTX 2.3, MiniMax H3, and other video engines that the README leads with. The storyboard tool is where you plan start/end images for scenes before you ever touch a sampler - deciding what the first frame of each scene looks like is the highest-leverage creative decision in an image-to-video project, because every frame after it inherits the first one.

The "Browser AI" part is the meaningful distinction here. The pack supports a few LLM options - local Gemma/GGUF via llama-cpp-python, LM Studio, API providers - but Browser AI runs in your browser, which means it works even if you haven't downloaded a Gemma GGUF and don't have an API key. That's a real feature, not a gimmick: the Gemma 3 12B text encoder that LTX-2 workflows expect is a 20GB-class download, and the local LLM tooling in this pack is one of the fiddliest parts of the install.

      Installation and the one gotcha

Same as every node in this pack - ComfyUI Manager → search vrgamedev → install, restart, hard-refresh the browser. The hard refresh matters more here than almost anywhere else: launcher nodes like this one are thin wrappers around JavaScript UI files, and ComfyUI will happily keep serving the cached, pre-update version of the page. If you click the node and nothing opens, that's your first suspect - refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R) and try again.

Beyond that, there isn't much to troubleshoot, because there isn't much to this node. That's the point. If you're brand new to the Video Builder and feeling overwhelmed by project folders and sessions, start here: click the button, make some start images, and let the UI hold your hand. When you outgrow it, the full Storyboard Builder UI and the Video Editor are waiting.
