Clothing prompts are a trap for beginners because "wearing a dress" isn't a costume - the model needs silhouette, fabric, layering, and wear-state, or you get a blob of fabric that reads as a dress only if you squint. Nox Prompt Wardrobe Designer fixes that by treating an outfit like a production costume sheet: required base_garment, silhouette, and colorway, then optional fabric, pattern, layering, wear-state, culture inspiration, footwear, accessories, and motion considerations. It's the last leg of the pack's character trio - Character Creator → Human Designer → Wardrobe Designer - and it's the one that keeps your hero looking dressed instead of draped.

    How it works

Curated wardrobe vocabulary in constants.py, same machinery as the rest of the pack. base_garment sets the core piece, silhouette the shape language, colorway the palette. The optional fields fill in the details that make a garment read as real: fabric and pattern for material, layering for depth, wear_state for how the garment sits on the body (fresh vs. distressed vs. lived-in), culture_inspiration for styling heritage, footwear and the primary_accessory/secondary_accessory/additional_accessories fields for the rest of the look, functional_focus for gear that has a job, and motion_considerations for how the outfit moves in an action shot. Every dropdown has a Custom Input option and matching *_custom field.

    Inputs and outputs that matter

Required: base_garment, silhouette, colorway. For a first pass add fabric, wear_state, and one accessory and you already have a better costume prompt than most people hand-type. Outputs: wardrobe_prompt (feed to the Builder or Combiner), styling_notes (the readable bullet-point breakdown for your production doc), accessory_list (exactly what a prop artist or modeler would want - the README suggests handing it straight to one), and preset_status. Standard preset_action/preset_name save-load applies, and outfit combos are genuinely worth saving.

    Installing it

Pack install, once. ComfyUI Manager: search "Nox Prompter", install, restart. Or:

    cd ComfyUI/custom_nodes
    git clone https://github.com/jamesk9526/NoxPrompter-ComfyUI-CustomNode

Restart, find the NoxPrompter category. No dependencies, no models.

    Gotchas

Same stale-README warning (the ComfyNoxPrompter URL isn't the repo - use the one above). Two practical notes: styling_notes and accessory_list are production documentation - keep them out of the encode and out of your master prompt, or your prompt doubles in length for no image benefit. And on SDXL-lineage checkpoints the verbose fabric/silhouette prose competes with tag vocabulary, so if your model speaks tags better than sentences, feed only the wardrobe_prompt into the Builder and let the Builder's keyword_style compact it before it reaches the encoder.
