    The name has "LLM" in it, but this node calls no model and needs no API key. LLM Prompt Library / Template is a prompt source: it resolves the user prompt and system prompt for whatever external LLM node you already run - local GGUF via something like ComfyUI-LLM-Session, or any other ComfyUI LLM node that accepts system/user text. Its real value is the bundled production system prompt, which is the best-reasoned MiniMax Music 3 prompting guide you'll find outside a paid mastering course.

    That system prompt is a monster, and it's the reason to install this pack at all. It enforces a strict [Caption] → [Lyrics] → [Title] → [Image_Prompt] output order, demands roughly double the structural sections for instrumentals (because MiniMax Music 3 tends to end instrumental tracks early when the section map is short), and bakes in a whole "artifact-avoidance" section: avoid long bright metallic tails, don't stack big reverbs in the same frequency range, prefer controlled ambience. This is the knowledge people usually arrive at after weeks of watery-cymbal pain, pre-written as a prompt.

    How the library modes work

    User prompts and system prompts are independent, and each can come from three sources:

    • manual - the editable text fields on the node.
    • bundled_library - files shipped inside the pack (prompts/user/ has 38 genre prompts across EDM, house, ambient, jazz, folk, classical, funk, pop, comedy; prompts/system/ has the production prompt).
    • external_directory - your own folder on the machine running ComfyUI, scanned recursively for .txt, .md and .prompt files.

    The file dropdowns refresh from the directory, and there's a Refresh prompt lists button for when you add files while ComfyUI is running. One smart detail: selected files are content-fingerprinted, so editing a file invalidates ComfyUI's cached template output automatically - no rename dance required.

    Outputs

    Three STRINGs: system_prompt, user_prompt, and source_name (a stable source label derived from the selected filename, used downstream for output paths and provenance). Wire system_prompt and user_prompt into your LLM node, and source_name into the parser.

    Installing it

    Standard pack install via ComfyUI Manager (search "MiniMax Music Production Toolkit") or:

    Dependencies: scipy, soundfile, imageio-ffmpeg, mutagen, Pillow. Restart ComfyUI and hard-refresh once - the prompt-library JavaScript needs it.

    Gotchas

    The classic failure is an empty file dropdown. Check the path is on the ComfyUI server machine (not your browser's laptop), that files use a supported extension, and that you hit Refresh prompt lists. The other one: a 16k context is a practical minimum for your LLM, because the bundled system prompt is intentionally enormous - the README flags this explicitly. And if your LLM output still comes back stale despite the fingerprinting, that's the LLM node's own cache, which is what the LLM Session ID / Cache Buster node exists to defeat.
