ComfyUI's built-in Reroute is two ports, no options, no name. It exists so a wire doesn't cross the canvas diagonally, and it's fine at that. EzFlex-Reroute is the version you reach for when the problem isn't one wire, it's twenty: it relays up to 32 connections - port i in, port i out, one-to-one, no merging and no splitting - and each relay card can be renamed.

The naming is the point. In a graph where the model, two LoRAs, the VAE and three conditioning paths all travel from a loader cluster to a sampler cluster, a labelled trunk node in the middle turns "which of these purple wires was the LoRA output?" into reading six labels. Ports appear as you wire them; you don't get 32 sockets dumped on the node. And the port and link colours follow the upstream output type - MODEL purple, CLIP yellow, VAE red, and so on - so the colours do a second round of labelling for free. Everything is typed *, so it will relay a string, a latent, a mask or a video frame list equally happily.

Where it fits, honestly

This is a legibility node - the same category as bookmarks, group muters and the reroutes rgthree made famous. It changes nothing about your data. Which is also the honest case against overusing it: the community's long-running complaint about type-erasing convenience nodes is that they make a graph look clean while hiding what feeds what, and a wildcard bus is exactly that kind of node. Use it for the long haul across a large canvas, where the alternative is a dozen parallel wires arcing over six nodes. Inside the region you're actively iterating on, keep explicit wires - you can see what's connected, and the connection isn't lying to you through a bundle.

Practical difference between the three list-ish nodes in this pack, since the names genuinely confuse people: EzFlex-MergeList is N→1 (many values become one list), EzFlex-SplitList is 1→N (one list becomes many ports), EzFlex-Reroute is 1:1 per port (nothing is combined or taken apart).

Install

Pack install, as always:

cd ComfyUI/custom_nodes
git clone https://github.com/blackbossokok/Comfyui-EzFlex-Presets
# restart ComfyUI - or Manager, search "EzFlex"

mutagen is the only extra dependency (pip install -r requirements.txt). The port names live in the node's own config field, so a saved workflow carries its labels with it.

Common issues

  • The wrong port lights up after you delete a card. The relay is positional: input N maps to output N. Remove a port and everything after it shifts up - re-check the wiring instead of assuming labels moved with the data.
  • A relayed value arrives in the wrong node. Nothing here picks or filters; if two ports were wired to the same source by accident, both outputs carry it. This is a pass-through with a nice UI, not a switch.
  • The panel draws wrong, or the node won't render. This pack draws its own node panels in JavaScript, and panel-heavy third-party packs are exactly what ComfyUI's Nodes 2.0 rendering rewrite broke - rgthree's reroute nodes are the cautionary tale, where the author publicly declined to port. If the EzFlex panels look mangled, switch off the new node rendering (the legacy canvas is still there) and re-check before you file anything.
  • Everything is grey. That just means whatever you're relaying doesn't carry a type that ComfyUI colours - a primitive string, say. The relay is working.
