DP Random Psychedelic Punk Generator
Instant trippy-punk prompt text
- STRING
One of a handful of themed random-prompt generators in this pack, all sharing the same shape: a couple of dials, no text input, and a fully-formed prompt fragment out the other end. This one's flavor is psychedelic/punk - think clashing color combinations, distressed textures, warped patterns, the aesthetic territory between a 70s gig poster and a glitch-art filter. Good for character or texture work when you want something loud and don't want to hand-write the color-and-style vocabulary yourself.
How it works
style_complexity (1-5) controls how much is packed into the generated description - low ends up spare, high stacks on more style and color language. generation_mode toggles between randomize (a fresh pick every run) and fixed (repeatable, once you've landed on something you like). No prompt input required; it generates the whole fragment from its own internal vocabulary.
It produces prompt language, not a rendered image - the actual "psychedelic punk" look still depends on your checkpoint's ability to render saturated color clashes and distressed texture convincingly. On a model that leans photoreal by default, this text is a nudge in that direction, not a guarantee.
Inputs and outputs
Required:
style_complexity(1-5, default 3, integer).generation_mode-fixedorrandomize(defaultrandomize).
No optional inputs.
One output: a STRING - the generated prompt fragment. Concatenate it with your subject description, or wire it straight into a text-encode node on its own if you're building a pure style study.
Installing it
ComfyUI Manager: search ComfyUI-Desert-Pixel-Nodes, install, restart. Manual:
cd ComfyUI/custom_nodes
git clone https://github.com/DesertPixelAi/ComfyUI-Desert-Pixel-Nodes
Restart ComfyUI - text generation from a bundled vocabulary, nothing to download.
Where people get tripped up
Same gotcha as this pack's other themed generators: there's no seed input, only the fixed/randomize toggle. If randomize gives you a description you actually like, there's no way to reproduce that exact string later short of copying it out - flip to fixed immediately if you want to keep iterating on the rest of your prompt without losing the style text you just got.
The other thing worth knowing before you lean on this heavily: strongly saturated, high-contrast, texture-heavy prompts push some models toward oversaturation and blown highlights faster than subtler prompts do, especially at higher CFG. If your results are coming out overcooked rather than stylized, that's usually a CFG problem more than a prompt problem - try dialing CFG down a couple points before assuming the generated text is wrong.
