ComfyUI-Realism

Finishing nodes that make generated images read more like photographs.

A typical order is Lens → Halation → (LUT) → Film Grain: lens effects happen before the light reaches the film or sensor, grain is on top.

Lens (realistic)

  • vignette: corners darker by this fraction (0.15 = 15%), smooth falloff from the centre
  • aberration: lateral chromatic aberration, the colour fringe width in pixels at the corners; zero in the centre, growing outwards

Halation (realistic)

Light from bright areas spreads into its surroundings.

  • threshold: brightness from which on light spreads
  • radius: spread in percent of the long image side
  • warmth: 0 = neutral lens bloom, 1 = the red-orange halation of film
  • strength: how much of the glow is added (screen blend)

Film Grain (realistic)

Grain the way film and camera sensors show it:

  • strongest in the midtones, weaker in deep shadows and bright highlights (shadows, highlights)
  • mostly luminance with a little colour (color)
  • its own grain size in pixels (size), independent of the image size
  • reproducible with seed

strength 1.0 adds noise with a 10% standard deviation in the midtones. For photos, 0.2–0.4 is a good range.
