ComfyUI Bob Ross Preview

ComfyUI custom node for showing a transparent WebM overlay on live previews and sampler previews.

Install

Place this folder in:

ComfyUI/custom_nodes/ComfyUI_BobRoss

Restart ComfyUI and hard-refresh the browser tab.

Use

You can use the extension in two ways.

Bob Ross Preview Node

Add Bob Ross Preview from image/preview, connect an IMAGE output, then run the workflow.

Sampler Live Preview Overlay

Open Comfy > Execution and set Bob Ross live preview to enabled.

Standard sampler nodes such as KSampler and SamplerCustom will show the selected overlay on their live previews.

Settings

Settings are under:

Comfy > Execution

Bob Ross live preview: enables the overlay on sampler previews.
Overlay video: selects Bob Ross or another .webm from web/assets.
Overlay position, Overlay offset X/Y, Overlay scale, Overlay opacity: control the selected overlay.
Reset overlay settings: restores the default overlay settings.

Custom Videos

Put transparent .webm files in:

web/assets

bobross.webm appears as Bob Ross in Overlay video. If it is missing, the first matching bobross*.webm file is used as Bob Ross; remaining .webm files appear by filename.

MP4 is not listed; convert videos to WebM with alpha first.
